Since 2002 I have helped hundreds of people rehabilitate from injuries and strokes as a Nurse.

Seeing the power of stretching to increase mobility with patients, I founded The Stretch Space to help even more Australians get free from pain and stay active throughout life.

I live and work in The Glass House Mountains area, enjoying the active outdoors life with my family.

FAQs

  • Sometimes we can’t fully stretch a muscle on your own, due to tightness or pain, often caused from an injury or illness.

    Assisted stretching uses an outside force (a person or object) to help stretch your muscles. When done correctly, this form of stretching can help your muscles relax and recover quicker than regular stretching.

  • Stretching keeps the muscles flexible and healthy, and we need that flexibility to maintain a range of motion in the joints. Without it, the muscles shorten and become tight. Then, when you call on the muscles for activity, they are unable to extend all the way.

  • The Stretch Space is based in The Glass House Mountains, Sunshine Coast.

    We are located at ‘Be Farm Fit’ Gym at 2514 Old Gympie Road.

    We can travel, by appointment, to homes and businesses for in-house sessions (additional fees apply, selected dates only).

  • 2024 Rates. Subject to change:

    Massage and myofacial assisted stretch therapy sessions:

    • 1 hour $80

    • 90 min $120

    • Students and senior $60

    • 4 session discount $280 (student/senior $200)

    Express session:

    • 30min/$40 stretch of massage

    Small group sessions (45 min)

  • Stretching increases your mobility and flexibility, while decreasing the chances of injury.

    Through our assisted stretch therapy service, Katie can help you identify which muscles to stretch to enhance your sport performance.

    Golfing, Netball, Soccer, Cricket - these sports all use different muscle groups, and so there is no one-size-fits-all approach.

  • Yes, we have corporate packages that include on-site visits to:

    • Deliver keynotes to your staff about the benefits and tactics of stretching

    • Run mini workshops in your office (space permitting) to train your staff on how to stretch

    • Provide in-house massage therapy services

  • You can book a session online using Calendly. Payment is made after your session via credit or debit card.

    We do not take private health insurance at this time.

    Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice from your time of booking will incur a cancellation fee.

  • You can book using this link via the Farm Fit Gym website. For members, the price is inclusive with your gym membership. For non-members the price is $20pp. This is a 45min group stretch class every Friday at 5:30am. All ages welcome.
